Prime Perspectives is a Launceston-based creative media agency specialising in professional photography, video production, and aerial cinematography across Tasmania and the Sunshine Coast. Services Offered:
Video Production: Prime Perspectives produces cinematic video content for television commercials, social media, documentaries, events, real estate promotions, and tourism campaigns. Our services encompass concept development, scripting, filming, editing, and post-production, all managed in-house to ensure a seamless process.
Real Estate Media: Real Estate Media is our “Bread and butter”. We offer comprehensive real estate marketing solutions, including high-resolution photography, 4K video tours, floor plan drafting, and virtual staging. Our work has contributed to over well over $470 million in property sales across Tasmania.
Aerial Photography & Drone Services: Utilising Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA)-certified drone operations, Prime Perspectives captures dynamic aerial footage for various industries, including tourism, construction, and events. They hold special approvals for night operations and flights near controlled aerodromes. Prime Perspectives were one of the first certified drone operators in Tasmania prior to CASA legislation changing and granting easier access to become legally certified to fly commercially. Our drone services are essential and flying a drone is pivotal working with us.
Construction media: We produce video updates and photography of construction projects around the state, for clientele such as Taswater and Tasbuilt Homes.
Commercial & Event Photography: We offer professional photography services for corporate events, product launches, and promotional campaigns, tailoring our approach to meet each client's unique needs.
Team & Expertise
Led by founder Tim Whybrow, who brings over 12 years of experience in photography, cinematography, and media production, the Prime Perspectives team includes skilled professionals like Valentin Sabouret and Casey Smith. Their collective expertise spans global projects, including work in Los Angeles, Canada, and various locations throughout Australia.
Notable Projects
Prime Perspectives has collaborated with Tourism Australia on the National Experience Content Initiative (NECI), producing promotional content for Tasmanian tourism operators. They have also created impactful campaigns for brands such as BMW, Mudbar Restaurant, Taswater, Agfest, and Island Block & Paving.
The Role:
We're looking for a motivated and creative experienced photographer and videographer to join our team. This is a role for someone who has some media experience, preferably with Sony cameras, gimbal operations, and drone flying experience. You will shadow and support experienced team members as you learn the ropes of photography, video production, drone operations, and post-production to service our clientele across corporate and real estate media.
What You'll Learn and Do:
Drone Photography & Videography: Shadow and train under CASA-certified operators to learn safe and creative drone flight techniques for capturing cinematic aerial footage and photography.
Camera Operations: Work with our Sony A7 series mirrorless cameras to shoot high-quality video and photography across a variety of projects (Sony A7S3, A74, A73). Lenses such as 16-35mm F.4, 70-200 2.8, 50mm 1.4. You’ll learn to film using stabilisation equipment on gimbals like the DJI RS3, as well as basic lighting methods for interviews and teleprompter operations.
Real Estate Media: Photographing and videoing homes and learning to scan floor plans using modern 3D and spatial scanning tools.
Post-Production: Develop your editing skills using Adobe Creative Suite — with a focus on Lightroom, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop. Most media captured is edited by our dedicated editor.
Project Execution: Over time, take ownership of creative briefs from Tim Whybrow and manage your own projects from concept to delivery.
Team Collaboration: Be part of a tight-knit team that values quality, creativity, and storytelling.
Who We're Looking For:
A keen interest in photography, video, or creative media. Experience with camera gear, drones, or editing software (preferred). Someone with a positive attitude, a growth mindset, and a willingness to learn from experienced professionals.
Must have a strong attention to detail and an eye for visuals whilst being reliable, organised, and capable of working to deadlines.
A current driver’s license and vehicle. There is a company vehicle to use with fuel cards supplied.
Bonus Points For:
Familiarity with Adobe Lightroom, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop
Any exposure to drone flying (even recreational)
Experience with real estate or architectural photography
Gimbal operations

Starting pay of $27.50 + super on 3-month probation, then a permanent contract offered and a pay rise. Ability to pass probation within 1 month based on experience.
